Cadillac has unveiled its replacement for the Escalade full-size SUV.
The new Cadillac Escalade is powered by a 420 hp 6.2-liter V-8 and is available in 2 and 4-wheel drive as well as on two wheelbases—116.0 and 130.0 inches.
Expected to go on sale early next year, the 2015 Cadillac Escalade’s exterior features “a sleek, tailored look” with a large chrome grille flanked by all-LED headlamp clusters.
Though the Escalade may share its platform with the full-size Suburban, Chevy Tahoe and GMC Denali, the interior is all Cadillac, with wood accents, special ambient lighting and state-of-the-art CUE interface with dash-mounted 8-inch touchscreen to control entertainment, navigation, and climate.
The Escalade also features a magnetic ride-control system that automatically adjusts the shocks to absorb bumps in in the road, brake assist and blind-spot and lane-departure warnings.
The Escalade rides standard on 20-inch wheels, with 22-inch rims optional.
